Letter From The Founder
2nd Annual, Bringing Families Back Fair
Held: September 19th & 20th 2009
First and foremost, I would like to thank God for trusting me with the birthing of the Bringing Families Back movement. It is beautiful to see that other organizations have been moved and inspired to create an event that mirrors our theme of bringing families back fair. Congratulations to the YMCA with their 1st Annual, Family Festival this year.
Our second annual, BFBF was a tremendous success demonstrated by many connections that were made between business to business and between families.
I would like to thank the whole community who came out and supported what makes a nation strong, our families. To those who are true believers that we can make a difference by helping one child, one family, one business and one non-profit organization at a time; you are the real visionaries and leaders that will help make our world a better place to live in.
A special thanks to Councilman Wolfson and Krystell Klinger(Councilman’s assistant) for making time out of their busy weekend to support our movement. Councilman, thank you for announcing the conclusion of our “Bringing Families Back” Walk and for cutting the cake during the Cake Cutting Ceremony.
To Leizel Trinidad with Philippine Times, Cris Markey with the Vegas Peace Walk, to all the “Bringing Families Back” walkers, Latif Shadi for singing our Bringing Families Back Song, Joyce Simpson & Dave Heartel for performing their song, “Coming Home”, KLAV 1230, Gloria Papin for making a special performance, Harry Goodwolf Kindness & Dermot Butterly for heading our “Bringing Families Back” Walk, Dennis Smith, Lulu, Filipiniana Dance Company, Boom Whackers, to all the vendors, to all the performers, to all the volunteers and to the whole Las Vegas School of Film crew, Denny Morales, Ronald Arceo, Melissa, Nick, Michelle Garcia and for those I forgot…please forgive me. This is for you too- a million thank you…TO YOU!
And to our BFBF family that really stuck it out until the end: Luris Jimenez, Charles Dalida, Kent Villaraiz, Neb Solomon, F.D. Guyton, Sara Ledesma, Jesse Ledesma and Jerushia McDonald-Hylton I cannot explain in words what your support and dedication means to me. To my parents, my brothers, my sister, and my relatives that flew from California to help…I truly appreciate you with all my heart!!!
Ways you can help others:
By showing your support.
By smiling. Remember a smile is contagious and it’s FREE!
Give them a hand.
Say, thank you.
Inspire them with your story.
Give them a hug.
Call someone just because.
Remember that it’s not what you receive that is important. It is what you give that makes a difference!
I look forward to connecting and seeing you all again at our next event.
Peace & Harmony,
Hazel Simon Mason
